Kodak Discontinuing SLR/n and SLR/c

Announcing some news early because of an internal leak, effective this month, Kodak has informed retailers that it will no longer be manufacturing SLR/n and SLR/c cameras. Once stocks are depleted they are gone. They will continue to support the cameras through warranties and software updates until 2008. Both retailed for around $4,200.

The 14 megapixel SLR/n accepts Nikon lenses, while the SLR/c accepts Canon lenses.

While it is unclear as to whether Kodak intends to terminate its SLR line, the company has recently found profitability and success in their compact EasyShare line of cameras.
