Canon S2 IS and Sony H1 Super-Zoom Cameras Compared

Not to be missed is Steve's Digicam's comparisons and full reviews of these two of the newest 5 megapixel, 12x optical "super zoom" cameras - Canon's S2 IS and Sony's DSC-H1. These two cameras are very similar in size and both offer an image-stabilized 12x zoom lens and a high resolution 5-megapixel imager. They're both excellent cameras and are reasonably priced for the features and resolution provided - which one is best for you? Be sure to read both review conclusions thoroughly and then check out the side-by-side comparison sample images ... they're both winners.
"Both cameras carry similar specifications and are capable of delivering high-quality images. The H1 provides better indoor flash and AF-assist performance, a larger LCD monitor, lower image noise at high ISO settings, shorter shutter lag and faster AF performance. The S2 IS advantages include better Continuous AF tracking of moving subjects, industry-leading movie mode, articulating LCD monitor, faster shutter speeds, greater playback magnification, and greater continuous shooting depth.

It's difficult to choose between these two high-quality digicams." says Steve.
