Everyday images can be captured via a variety of automatic modes. Portrait mode, for example, gives your photographic subject more presence, while ID mode lets you shoot ID-size photos. Naturally, the Xacti S5 also comes with a self-portrait mirror to facilitate taking photos of yourself.

The Xacti S5 sports a large, 1.8-inch, low-reflective, Thin Film Transistor (TFT) color monitor, which enables clear viewing even in bright outdoor locations. Furthermore, it offers user-friendly functions such as USB-connectivity to a PictBridge-compatible printer, for direct printing of selected pictures.

The ergonomic shape of the Xacti S5 makes it easy to grip and therefore easier to shoot the images you want. A low-reflective, color, TFT LCD monitor and a self-portrait mirror are included on its compact 91.3 mm x 61.5 mm body, along with the high-quality 5.1-megapixel CCD and 2.8x optical zoom lens.
